HPISD Honors 2025 Graduates
Highland Park ISD celebrated the accolades, awards, and scholarships earned by the Class of 2025 during the annual Honors Assembly on May 22.
Students were recognized for a wide range of achievements, from excellence in Latin and science, to outstanding commitments to community service and the stewardship of land and wildlife resources. Generous donors to the Highland Park Education Foundation have funded more than $250,000 in scholarships for the graduates.
The assembly also honored students who will graduate cum laude, magna cum laude, and summa cum laude, as well as the class’ top ten ranked students, who received a standing ovation from their peers. The top ten graduates are: Jake Elverum, David Guo, James Holmes, Andrew Li, Yiyoung Liu, Shiv Mehta, Anna Qian, Lakshmi Vemula , Emma L. Wang, and Emma Z. Wang.
The class of 2025 salutatorian, Lakshmi Vemula, will attend Brown University in the fall. Valedictorian Anna Qian, who will attend Yale University, is ranked first in a class of 565 seniors.
Caroline Scott and Reece Tiffany were recognized with the 2025 Blanket Awards. They have a combined 1,250 community service hours, and were collectively involved in almost every type of activity at the high school, including sports, service organizations, honor societies and student leadership. Every day, they spent almost three hours on extracurricular activities, all while maintaining an average GPA of at least a 4.23.
