Schachtel Claims TAPPS Golf Title Again
Alcuin senior Adysn Schachtel capped her decorated high school career with another TAPPS 2A state championship on April 15 at Squaw Valley Golf Course in Glen Rose.
Schachtel scored 73-79—152 over two rounds to claim her second individual TAPPS championship by an impressive 18 strokes over Alcuin teammate Gigi Madole, who took the silver.
Schachtel, a Creighton signee, also led the Hawks to a state team title by 16 shots over runner-up Shiner St. Paul. She previously won a championship in 2023 and was runner-up as a freshman in 2022, when she was the only athlete on Alcuin’s team.
When she signed with Creighton in November, Schachtel became the first NCAA Division I athlete in school history in any sport.
