SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: DANDRUFF DILEMMA

A flaky thief stole six Head and Shoulders products and packs of Budweiser, Modelo, and Bud Light beer cans from CVS in Snider Plaza at about 4:08 p.m. on March 10. 

UNIVERSITY PARK

10 Monday

A burglar stole an AR-15 rifle and scope at about 4:36 p.m. from a 2023 Ford F-150 in The Plaza at Preston Center.

11 Tuesday

A guest who overstayed his welcome at a home on Dyer Street was located by officers at about 2:33 a.m. running from the residence and arrested on an outstanding warrant.

A rascal snatched a black leather backpack, MacBook, and mouthguard from a vehicle parked in the 8300 block of Preston Road at about 3:20 p.m.

12 Wednesday

A villainous thief stole a Pokemon trading card set at about 6:15 p.m. from a store in Snider Plaza.

13 Thursday

Reported at 8:58 a.m. on Westminster Avenue: A fraudster withdrew funds from a bank account without the owner’s permission.

14 Friday

A careless driver backed into a fence in the 3200 block of Milton Avenue at about 1:07 p.m., damaging it.

Harassment and criminal trespass were reported at about 2:16 p.m. in the 4500 block of Emerson Avenue.

A greedy thief stole a BuzzBallz lemon lime beverage and a strawberry kiwi electrolyte drink from Shell gas station on Lovers Lane at about 6:10 p.m.

Officers responded to a disturbance on Caruth Boulevard at about 9:16 p.m., arrested a 43-year-old man for assault causing bodily injury to a family member, and took a 15-year-old girl into emergency detention.

15 Saturday

Officers made a traffic stop at about 3:32 a.m. on Preston Road and arrested a 22-year-old woman for possession of a controlled substance.

A man reported that his personal information had been used without his consent at about 6:27 a.m. on Westminster Avenue.

A shady thief stole packages containing a sunscreen dispenser, pool toys, a swimsuit, a shirt, and shoes from a porch on Purdue Street at about 3:18 p.m.

Officers arrested a 35-year-old man for assault on a security officer, invasive visual recording, evading arrest, and public intoxication at about 6:52 p.m. in The Plaza at Preston Center.

HIGHLAND PARK

10 Monday

Reported at 4:53 p.m.: A porch pirate stole a package containing a children’s nebulizer from the front door of a home in the 3500 block of Drexel Drive at about 9:32 a.m. on March 9.

11 Tuesday

A bandit stole three chainsaws from a tree trimmer’s truck before 4 p.m. in the 3500 block of Potomac Avenue.
