Longhorns, Panthers Tie in 13-5A Rematch
W.T. White remained unbeaten in its boys soccer season on Saturday despite being shut out for the first time all year.
The Longhorns played to a scoreless draw against rival Hillcrest at Franklin Stadium, which extended their undefeated streak to 12 games.
WTW (9-0-3, 5-0-2) had outscored its opponents by a combined margin of 41-5 this season, with shutouts in eight of those 12 contests. They will continue District 13-5A play on Tuesday against South Oak Cliff.
Meanwhile, the draw avenges the only loss in district play this season for the Panthers, which came against WTW by a 2-0 score on Jan. 22. Hillcrest, which has five ties in its first seven district matchups, will resume their schedule on Tuesday against Adamson.
