3 Monday
A greedy thief stole a vehicle from the 3600 block of University Boulevard at about 8:40 a.m.
A troublemaker broke the back passenger window of a vehicle in the 4200 block of Emerson Avenue at about 3:45 p.m.
The driver of an SMU transport bus was arrested for driving while intoxicated after a multiple vehicle hit-and-run at about about 7:26 p.m. on Binkley Avenue.
4 Tuesday
A woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated at about 3:07 a.m. on Preston Road.
Reported at 6:26 a.m.: A hooligan may have broken into vehicles in the Highland Park High School H-Lot on Emerson Avenue.
A burglar broke into a vehicle in the 4300 block of Lovers Lane at about 8:50 a.m.
Reported at 9:55 a.m.: A Highland Park High School student told the school resource officer that his car had been broken into.
5 Wednesday
Reported at 11:38 a.m.: A fraudster stole the identity of a man on Caruth Boulevard.
A thief stole a vehicle on Villanova Drive at about 3:31 p.m.
6 Thursday
Officers arrested a woman for driving while intoxicated at about 2:51 a.m. on Preston Road.
7 Friday
Officers made a traffic stop and arrested two men for possession of a controlled substance at about 12:56 a.m. on Lovers Lane.
8 Saturday
Police made a traffic stop and arrested a man for driving while intoxicated with an open alcohol container at about 2:21 a.m. at an undisclosed location.
A man who was under 21 was arrested for drinking alcohol at about 12:24 a.m. on University Boulevard.
9 Sunday
An irresponsible operator was arrested for driving while intoxicated after hitting a parked vehicle at about 3:07 a.m. on Asbury Avenue.
Someone’s persistent ex-wife was arrested for public intoxication at about 7:24 p.m. after knocking on a front door at an undisclosed location and refusing to leave.
A thief who attempted to steal from CVS on Mockingbird Lane at about 10:48 p.m. was arrested for theft and possession of a controlled substance.
HIGHLAND PARK
3 Monday
A found gold ring was brought to the Highland Park Department of Public Safety at 4700 Drexel Drive at about 12:06 p.m.
A 71-year-old man was arrested on a felony warrant at about 12:53 p.m. in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.
4 Tuesday
A 32-year-old man was arrested on a warrant at about 11:25 a.m. in the 4700 block of Preston Road.
Reported at 2:32 p.m.: A careless cruiser may have damaged the passenger’s side of a 2012 Lexus RX 350 in the 4500 block of Southern Avenue between Jan. 31 and Feb. 1.
A poor sport stole a tennis backpack, Lacoste AG-LT23 tennis shoes, and two Babolat Pure Drive 98 Gen 11 rackets from a porch in the 3400 block of Harvard Avenue at about 6:15 p.m.
5 Wednesday
A two-wheeler thief stole a Trek Marlin child’s mountain bike from the bike rack at Bradfield Elementary School in the 4300 block of Southern Avenue before 3 p.m.
Officers arrested a 44-year-old man for failing to identify himself, possession of drug paraphernalia, no bicycle lamps, and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information at about 4:03 a.m. in the 4700 block of Preston Road.
A Springfield Armory Hellcat 9mm pistol became an easy target for thieves when it was placed in the glovebox of an unlocked 2016 Range Rover Sport. The pistol was stolen from the 4200 block of Oak Lawn Avenue before 9:19 p.m.

A 28-year-old woman was arrested on warrants at about 3:01 a.m. in the 4300 block of Westside Drive.
8 Saturday
A backyard bandit stole a Gorilla extension ladder and Townie bicycle with a white basket from the garage of a home in the 4600 block of Mockingbird Lane before 9:14 a.m.
9 Sunday
A 54-year-old man was arrested for public intoxication at about 2:48 a.m. in the 4200 block of Wycliff Avenue.
Officers arrested a 26-year-old woman for driving while intoxicated at about 3:08 a.m. at the intersection of Wycliff Avenue and Oak Lawn Avenue.
A 21-year-old man was arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia at about 10:37 a.m. in the 4200 block of Lomo Alto Drive.
