Ursuline Athletes Finalize College Plans
Nine elite Ursuline athletes in four sports were recognized on Wednesday during a National Signing Day ceremony at the school.
Volleyball standouts Chichi Nnaji and Sophia Thornburg each signed with Notre Dame. Three other teammates finalized their college plans — Kathryn Rakosoki (Old Dominion), Emma Sorensen (Holy Cross), and Elena Montenegro (John Carroll).
Soccer star Audrey Bryant, who is one of the most decorated strikers in program history and led the Bears to a TAPPS state championship last season, signed with Texas.
Other seniors honored during the ceremony for their college plans were soccer player Gabriela Garza (Rhodes), swimmer Adeline Wongso (Bowdoin), and golfer Isabella Scucchi (Washington and Lee).
