Surging WTW Remains Unbeaten in 13-5A
W.T. White continued its host start in District 13-5A girls soccer with a convincing 5-1 win over Thomas Jefferson on Saturday at Loos Stadium.
Juliet Garcia and Emma Gandarilla, both freshmen, scored twice apiece for WTW, which broke open a 1-1 tie with four goals in the second half. Ashanti Hall also found the back of the net.
The Longhorns (7-4-1, 3-0) started league play with a 2-1 victory over rival Hillcrest on Jan. 23 — defeating the Panthers for the first time in more than two years.
Since then, WTW has outscored two opponents by a combined margin of 13-1 and extended its overall winning streak to four games. The Longhorns will face Molina on Tuesday.
