Despite the nationwide shortage, a mischief-maker threw eggs at a home in the 4000 block of Bryn Mawr Drive at about 10:09 p.m. on Jan. 31.

28 Tuesday
A Glock 19 firearm was reported missing from Rosedale Avenue at about 4:57 p.m.
A 41-year-old man was arrested for aggravated assault at about 10:05 p.m. after a suspected road rage incident on Vassar Drive.
29 Wednesday
A woman got some handcuffs with her hoagie at Jimmy John’s on Hillcrest Avenue after she was arrested for assault at about 11:32 a.m.
A vain villain stole hair products from CVS on Preston Road at about 1:44 p.m.
31 Friday
Reported at 11:55 a.m.: A possible intruder damaged a front door on Villanova Drive.
A two-wheeler thief stole an electric bicycle at about 6:23 p.m. on Emerson Avenue.

A porch pirate stole packages containing coats at about 1:33 p.m. from a home on Purdue Street.
A man was cited for possession of drug paraphernalia at about 1:59 p.m. on McFarlin Boulevard.

A healthy thief with rotten morals stole a package containing Kids Emergen-C immune support at about 10:23 a.m. from a home on Marquette Street.
A greedy thief stole a Louis Vuitton purse, driver’s license, social security card, four credit cards, and money from a 2015 Lexus ES on Preston Road at about 8:02 p.m.
HIGHLAND PARK
28 Tuesday
A woman was arrested for driving while intoxicated, carrying a weapon without a license, resisting arrest, and on multiple warrants at about 2:48 a.m. in the 4200 block of Bordeaux Avenue.
A reckless roadster kept going after hitting the side mirror of a 2020 Ford Transit at about 12:08 p.m. in the 5700 block of Golf Drive.
29 Wednesday
The driver of a white box truck hit and cracked the frame of a stop sign while attempting to park in Highland Park Village before 8 a.m.
30 Thursday
A man was arrested on a warrant, for violating open container laws, and for driving an unregistered vehicle without a license, insurance, or correct license plate or registration information at about 1:53 p.m. in the 4200 block of Beverly Drive.
Reported at 3:50 p.m.: A customer at Chanel in Highland Park Village made a cardigan worth $3,250 disappear inside a dressing room on Jan. 24 at about 4:25 p.m.

A brazen burglar stole a 2008 Mercedes-Benz AMG from the 3700 block of Normandy Avenue before 7:30 a.m.
A trucker trying to make a turn in Highland Park Village scraped a bollard at about 9:30 a.m.
A tricky thief switched a $1,225 pair of Chanel shoes with fakes she had hidden in her tote bag before 2:45 p.m. while she sent the employee helping her in Chanel in Highland Park Village on multiple trips to the stockroom to retrieve different shoes.
Reported at 11:28 p.m.: The careless driver of a four-door sedan did not stop after bumping into a Toyota Tundra stopped at a red light at the intersection of Mockingbird Lane and Hillcrest Avenue.
1 Saturday
A thief stole packages containing a Loeffler Randall purse, a Crate & Barrel platter, Crate & Barrel champagne glasses, and Crate & Barrel wine glasses from a home in the 5000 block of Airline Drive at about 6:30 p.m.

Reported at 7:47 p.m.: A Crate & Barrel box addressed to a resident of the 5000 block of Airline Drive that contained a broken platter, and wine glasses was found in an alley behind the 3100 block of St Johns Drive.
The thief who stole a package of dishwasher detergent from a porch in the 4500 block of Lorraine Avenue at about 5:03 p.m. didn’t make a clean getaway — witnesses saw him leave with the loot.
