Hillcrest Grapplers Win District Medals
Hillcrest won the boys team title at the District 7-5A wrestling tournament on Saturday at Loos Field House, with the girls finishing second behind Woodrow Wilson.
Boys district champions for the Panthers included Victor Ramirez, Alejandro Moctezuma, and Elijah Guzman, with Aaron Michaels and Miles Fait as runners-up. In the girls brackets, Hillcrest gold medalists were Alexa Rodriguez, Nevaeh Blair-McKnight, Allison Serrano, Avril Flores, and Liliana Saldana.
Podium finishers from every weight class will advance to the Class 5A Region I tournament on Feb. 7-8, also hosted by Dallas ISD at Loos.
