A sneaky thief stole more than $5,000 worth of tools from a construction company renovating a home in the 3100 block of St Johns Drive before 8 a.m. on Jan. 24

20 Monday

A burglar had easy pickings from an unlocked vehicle on Preston Road at about 5:51 p.m.

21 Tuesday

Destructive thieves stole items worth between $100 and $750 from CVS on Mockingbird Lane and caused between $2,500 and $30,000 of damage to the store at about 8:52 p.m.

22 Wednesday

Officers made an arrest in the police department lobby in the 3800 block of University Boulevard on a Dallas County warrant at about 7:29 a.m.

Reported at 5:07 p.m.: Officers investigated a vehicle burglary on Mockingbird Lane.

23 Thursday

Reported at 8:01 a.m.: A brazen burglar stole from a home on Stanhope Drive over the weekend.

24 Friday

Reported at 12:54 a.m.: A man was arrested for possession of a dangerous drug, possession of controlled substances, evading arrest with a vehicle, and driving while intoxicated on Hillcrest Avenue.

Reported at 8:16 a.m.: A thief stole packages with contents worth between $2,500 and $30,000 from a home on Hanover Street.

Reported at 8:33 p.m.: A woman was detained on Centenary Drive on an emergency basis.

25 Saturday

Officers made a traffic stop and arrested a man for driving while intoxicated at about 2:37 a.m. on Airline Road.

Greedy thieves stole between $30,000 and $150,000 of property from a vehicle on Bryn Mawr Drive before 7:32 a.m.

Troublemakers vandalized a vehicle in The Plaza at Preston Center at about 10:36 p.m.

Officers arrested a man from Florida for driving while intoxicated at about 11:07 p.m. after an accident in the 4100 block of University Boulevard.

26 Sunday

An irresponsible motorist was arrested at about 9:31 p.m. on Turtle Creek Boulevard for not taking the required steps after striking a structure or landscaping.

The careless cruiser who side-swiped an Audi Quattro at about 4:22 p.m. in the 4600 block of Beverly Drive did not stop and leave information.

24 Friday

A mail marauder stole packages containing an iPhone 15 and shaving cream from a home in the 4600 block of Beverly Drive at about 2:28 p.m.

Officers arrested a 46-year-old man for resisting arrest, evading arrest, and driving while intoxicated at about 11:26 p.m. in the 4600 block of Cole Avenue.

25 Saturday

Reported missing at 11:26 a.m.: A gold diamond dial Rolex watch and $200 cash from a home in the 4700 block of Bowser Avenue.

Two men were arrested for public intoxication and violating open container laws at about 6:07 a.m. in the 5400 block of Douglas Avenue.

A pedaling pilferer stole a Specialized Rockhopper kid’s bicycle from a home in the 4500 block of Rheims Place before 8 a.m.
