Community Partners of Dallas (CPD) will host its 19th annual Chick Lit Luncheon, presented by Dr. Robert and Lara Tafel, on Friday, March 28, at the Hilton Anatole Dallas.
Longtime supporters Alison Malone and Kelley Schadt will serve as chairs of the luncheon and longtime corporate partner, Toyota Motor North America, will receive the 2025 Paige McDaniel Partners for Children Award.
Malone has spent over two decades giving back to the Dallas community through fundraising and volunteering. She previously served on the boards of several nonprofits and currently is a member of Crystal Charity Ball, a board member of NCL Park Cities, and passionately supports Children’s Cancer Fund and many other pediatric cancer efforts in memory of her son, Michael.
“My husband Mike and I fostered four children beginning in 2013. We found it deeply rewarding, and saw firsthand the impact that CPD has on the children they serve,” said Malone. “They provide life-changing opportunities and support that can change the trajectory of their lives. CPD provides vital care for these abused and neglected children, and Kelley and I are honored to be a part of their journey.”
Schadt, a Dallas native, served as a senior marketing leader at The Container Store, and is now an accomplished realtor at Allie Beth Allman & Associates. She has served on the CPD board of directors for 20 years, has served on the board of directors for many other local nonprofits, has chaired several events, and is currently a member of Cattle Baron’s Ball.
“I am passionate about Community Partners of Dallas because I believe every child deserves a sense of security, dignity, and the opportunity to thrive, regardless of their circumstances,” said Schadt. “By supporting CPD, I know I’m contributing to a cause that directly impacts the well-being of these children, helping to break cycles of abuse and empower them to dream of a brighter future. I have been honored to serve on their board of directors for 20 years.”
The Paige McDaniel Partners for Children Award, renamed in 2023 in honor of retired CEO Paige McDaniel, will be presented to Toyota Motor North Dallas for their support of CPD’s initiatives.
