A yard worker reported finding two computers — an HP Chromebook x360 and an HP Elite — in Kroger plastic shopping bags under a walkway that covers a drainage ditch before 8:52 a.m. Dec. 21 between the 4500 block of Lorraine Avenue and the 4500 block of Arcady Avenue.


18 Monday

A burglar stole several tools, about $700 worth, from the back of a man’s construction truck before 3:08 p.m. in the 4400 block of Hyer Avenue.

19 Tuesday

Reported around 6:20 p.m.: a hit and run to a woman’s car in the 7400 block of Lomo Alto Drive.

20 Wednesday

Reported around 7:09 p.m.: a theft of $202.97 worth of merchandise from CVS in Snider Plaza.

A 20-year-old woman’s car was burglarized before 8 p.m. at CAVA in Snider Plaza

A burglar stole a woman’s personal documents from her unlocked Jeep Cherokee parked near Onward Reserve at Snider Plaza before 7:30 p.m.

21 Thursday

Before 11:40 a.m., a burglar broke the glass of a woman’s locked vehicle at The Plaza at Preston Center and stole her J.McLaughlin purse containing a retainer, Friedrich’s sunglasses, two scarves, a measuring tape, a hair brush, pens, lipstick, and a Wells Fargo safe deposit key.

22 Friday

Arrested around 12:01 a.m.: a 28-year-old drunk driver in the 4000 block of Caruth Boulevard.

A resident reported a man for sleeping in his car in the 4000 block of Greenbrier Drive. When police located him around 6:56 a.m., he was arrested for driving while intoxicated with a blood alcohol content of less than 0.15%. 

24 Sunday

Arrested around 2:58 a.m.: A 63-year-old drunk driver with a search warrant in the 7800 block of Airline Road.

A 38-year-old woman in the 3400 block of Rosedale Avenue was harassed via phone before 11:41 a.m.


18 Monday

A burglar stole a woman’s insurance card and car manual from her unlocked Audi before 3:46 p.m. in the 3600 block of Dartmouth Avenue.

19 Tuesday

A 21-year-old was arrested for a Class A warrant, felony warrant, possession of drug paraphernalia, and unlicensed carry of a weapon around 4:28 p.m. in the 5200 block of Douglas Avenue.

20 Wednesday

Reported around 2:12 p.m.: A package from Tuckernuck containing a dress was stolen off a porch in the 4200 block of Edmondson Avenue.

A porch pirate stole two packages — one containing $200 to $400 worth of vitamins and another holding a clothes steamer — before 4:22 p.m. in the 4300 block of Livingston Avenue.

21 Thursday

A 56-year-old was arrested for possession of a controlled substance around 2:53 a.m. in the 4800 block of Preston Road.

22 Friday

A 36-year-old public drunk was arrested around 3:17 a.m. in the 4100 block of Lomo Alto Drive.

A scammer pretending to be Norton Utilities told a man in the 3600 block of Shenandoah Avenue to download software and share his driver’s license and social security numbers before 6:40 a.m.

A burglar stole a man’s wallet containing his driver’s license, three credit cards, a health insurance card, and $800 cash from his unlocked car before 8 a.m. in the 4400 block of Lorraine Avenue. A neighbor found the man’s three credit cards in the bushes at the Armstrong Avenue and Belclaire Avenue intersection.

23 Saturday

A burglar stole a woman’s Chanel wallet, approximately $100 worth of gift cards, and a pair of Gucci sunglasses before 5:04 a.m. from her BMW parked in the 4500 block of Beverly Drive.

A burglar stole a man’s Tom Ford sunglasses, $20 worth of change, and $45 cash from his unlocked Land Rover before 8 a.m. in the 4400 block of Fairfax Avenue.

Reported around 11 a.m.: A Facebook Marketplace fraudster sold a woman a fake Chanel bag, claiming it was real, for $4,000. They met for the transaction at Tolleson Bank Center.

A burglar entered a woman’s unlocked Lexus and rummaged through miscellaneous papers and stole a Chase Bank blank check before 11:54 a.m. in the 4500 block of Fairfax Avenue.
