Highland Park sprinted to first place in the team standings at the North Garland Raider Invitational meet on Thursday, bolstered by several strong individual performances. Event winners for the Scots included Sam Sloan (400), Christopher Herrod (300 hurdles), and Etienne Black (pole vault).
HP also received podium finishes from Kyle Garberding (shot put), Will Gibson (discus), Will Pettijohn (long jump), Cooper Feagans (long jump), Cade Meuse (pole vault), Christopher Peters (high jump), Will Agouridis (300 hurdles), Bo Clarke (300 hurdles), Carson Hart (400), Jack Gurley (400), Brett Jacot (800), and Luke Martin (110 hurdles).
In their previous meet on Feb. 15 in Denton, the Scots won two relays, while Feagans was the runner-up in the long jump.
Next up, HP will travel to the Richardson Invitational on March 7 at Eagle-Mustang Stadium.
