Update: According to Highland Park Department of Public Safety, Atmos Energy repaired a section of the gas line. However, a complete inspection of the line must be completed before the lane can be reopened. The eastbound lane of 4200 Mockingbird Lane may reopen as soon as 8 p.m. on April 14, if no other leaks are detected. Should another leak be found, the lane will remain closed until all repairs are completed.
Those who travel via Mockingbird Lane: plan accordingly.
At 6:30 p.m., the eastbound stretch of road in the 4200 block of Mockingbird Lane will be closed for natural gas line repairs by the town. The repairs will continue overnight, and the eastbound lane won’t open again until the project is complete.
The block is bordered by Preston Road and Douglas Avenue. Barricades will be up, so be wary.
At this time, the westbound lane will remain open. Thanks for the Highland Park Police Department for the memo!
