After more than 30 years of partnership, Preston Hollow attorney William Brewer will go it alone with his new law firm.
The former Bickel & Brewer, which was started in 1984, will become Brewer, Attorneys & Counselors on June 29. The firm will relocate to the top two floors of the Comerica Bank Tower in downtown Dallas.
According to Brewer, the boutique firm will continue its focus on cases involving business, politics, and public policy. It also will keep its pro bono arm, and plans to expand into more litigation involving crisis management.
“Our name and Dallas office address have changed, but the firm remains true to its core principles — handling high-stakes advocacy and intelligent innovation,” Brewer said. “We are excited by the promise of new opportunities — and taking our firm to the next level.”
The name change comes on the heels of the departure of former partner John Bickel of Highland Park, who last year joined the Dallas firm of Fish & Richardson. No reason was given for the split.
