Honor Blood Cancer Awareness Advocates

DBC DKMSJoin Delete Blood Cancer DKMS at its second annual awards breakfast on May 13 at 8:30 a.m. The breakfast at the Dallas Museum of Art will be hosted by Kimberly Chandler, journalist and wife of Dallas Maverick Tyson Chandler. The awards breakfast will honor national advocates and three specific local heroes: Cancer survivor and track and field gold medalist Earl Young, awareness advocate Dave Thomas, and ABC Dallas’ own David Schecter.

Delete Blood Cancer DKMS is part of the world’s largest bone marrow donation network and works to match patients and stem cell donors. The first event was held last year in New York City and raised $44,000 for blood cancer awareness.

“The annual awards breakfast is our way to honor those making strides for our organization’s mission of growing the registry while raising funds to help us continue our work,” said Jaclinn Tanney, Director of Development at Delete Blood Cancer DKMS.

Tickets for the breakfast are available here. Reserve one for yourself for $250 and bring a friend for half the price ($130). Looking for more information or want to register as a bone marrow donor? Visit the organization’s website.
