No, that doesn’t mean that Wendy Davis is now an MTV host, but man, wouldn’t that be awesome?
The Lincoln Park Barnes and Noble is clearly trying to be hip with the times, given the two events they have coming up.
Next Monday, Nev Schulman, host of MTV’s “Catfish,” will be signing copies of In Real Life: Love, Lies, and Identity in the Digital Age at 7 p.m. Apparently, the gist is how millennials can connect to people authentically, despite our reliance on media, etc. I mean, I’m a millennial, and I like to think I do a decent job at actually talking to people. Anyway, it’s a ticketed event, so find out more here.
Then, on Sept. 13, catch gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis signing copies of her memoir, Forgetting To Be Afraid. Here’s the deal: you need a wristband for that, so you can either save your receipt beginning Sept. 9 (when the book is released), or you can pick up a wristband at 3 p.m. on Sept. 13.
