Spanx and evening wear were among the items stolen over the weekend from a temporary storage area created by St. John in Highland Park Village.
St. John had created a make-shift storage area after a pipe burst in its store and then were given permission by Highland Park Village to place the water damaged clothes in Cooters, a now unused retail space in the shopping center.
The theft happened between 5:30 p.m. June 8 and 6:30 a.m. June 12. After finding the area rummaged through, St. John moved the remaining items back into their store.
According to the report, 85 pieces were taken and totaled $33,365. The unused space is being used as a storage area for several different people, including a general contractor, and is sometimes unlocked during the day.
