Given their longtime proximity to each other, I always assumed that some kind of partnership already existed between Highland Park Village and Bradfield Elementary School. But according to a press release we received from the shopping center on Friday, their relationship as “community partners” has just been formalized.
The new partners plan to work together on a number of events that showcase Highland Park Village’s merchants to Bradfield families and students, including additional school fundraising events, designated shopping nights, and exposure to the many career opportunities the Village represents.
“We are thrilled to have Highland Park Village as our 2011-2012 community partner,” said Bradfield principal Chris Brunner (pictured). “Given the recent cutbacks in education at the state level, the role of community leaders like Highland Park Village is vitally important to sustaining the education generations of Bradfield families have experienced.”
