Former Scots quarterback Luke Woodley confirmed he has transferred to Texas A&M to play football for the Aggies, although he had no further comment.
Woodley, who guided Highland Park to back-to-back 11-2 seasons the last two years, originally signed with Louisville. He graduated from high school in December, so he enrolled at Louisville in the spring. However, Woodley left the school in March.
Louisville head coach Steve Kragthrope was fired by the school in late November. He went to Texas A&M as a receivers coach, but he resigned that post earlier this week.
“I think that’s a good fit for him,” Scots head coach Randy Allen said. “You’ve got [former Scots] Seth Gardner and Winston Gamso down there. You need to go to school where you want to get your degree from. If football works out, great, but you haven’t lost any time getting your degree. I think A&M was a favorite of his from the very beginning. I think it’s a great place to go.”
Woodley threw for 7,912 yards with 81 touchdowns and 13 interceptions for Highland Park.
