While I’m no Sarah Palin expert, it’s not hard to imagine her as a Park Cities volamom. She projects that kind of image. She doesn’t shy away from her PTA president to vice presidential candidate success story. This led me and others in our newsroom to thinking: Is she the ultimate volamom?
Discuss.

Tickets are going for a cool thou. If you don’t have the cash, then there is a cheaper option here.

I’m sure there will be plenty of Parkies in attendance. So, if you’re going to the Palin Party as a paid guest…or a protester, hit us up in the comments section. In light of recent Wall Street events there is now a nominal fee of $10 per comment or 25 cents a character, whichever generates more revenue.

Bonus Question: What’s the most expensive meal in the Park Cities you’ve ever paid for?

My child attends [school name] and is in Kindergarten there. We found out that one of the other classes was requiring all parents to pitch in an additional $100 dollars per child for teacher gifts. There was one mother in that class who refused to pay the extra $100 and the other mothers (are you sitting) BOYCOTTED this mother’s child’s birthday party. We are talking about a 5 year old child who is wondering why no one came to his party…..isn’t that pathetic?????

Women over a certain age in super skimpy bikinis. There is a HUGE diff between a regular two piece and a strappy scrap of fabric that shows the c-section scar.

Tatoos that used to be tiny but now cover a bit more surface if you know what I mean. You never want your once charming little ”Phi Delt” to show if expanded to Phhhhhiiiiiiii Delllllt.

Hair doesn’t belong in some places. The good news is that there are inexpensive procedures for that.

Ambigumail: An ambiguous e-mail worded so that more than one meaning, often conflicting interpretations, can be received making it necessary to re-read and over analyze the vague and cryptic content.

Recapping some of the modern lingo used on Overheard for new readers:
