Mom Charged With DWI, Arrested at Carpool

Rumors have been circulating about a mom at Hyer Elementary who was arrested last week in the carpool lane. I checked in with Chief Gary Adams.
A mom was arrested after we were notified that it appeared she was intoxicated. She was charged with DWI. There was no child in the car as she had come to pick her child up.
There you have it. But you had it already kinda sorta.

I’m a Hyer mom and this is the first I’ve heard about the arrest. Why isn’t it in the PCP police report along with the other DWI arrests last week? I see the one from last Thursday that happened at 4:30pm on High School Avenue (near HPMS?), but nothing near Hyer.
You know, given the craziness of the carpool lanes at HPMS, I might need a shot of courage before heading over there, too. IJS
