Be careful on Central Expressway tomorrow. There will be many sleep-deprived drivers.
I read in The Week that Palin named her youngest son Trig Van Palin. Yep. Because she likes Van Halen so much. I was already a bit sick over Piper, Willow, Bristol and Track. But Trig Van Palin? No. That won’t do.
At a recent area meeting I was texting with my good friend who was sitting right beside me. You know, kind of a beneath the table chat. We were exchanging comments about, and voting on, the most beautiful person in the room. We both agreed on one at a nearby table until we realized she was wearing a wiglet. Do you agree that the winner of such a title, Prettiest Parkie in the Room, cannot be a wiglet wearer?
I’m working on decorating the new apartment, and I know I’m a little late to the game, but I’m suddenly very much into consignment furniture.
I braved the rain on Saturday and checked out several good stores: Again and Again, which is just down the road and is working on opening another location (and has a bench I’m dying to get); Consignment Heaven, also just down the road; Century Modern, it’s a little out of the way, but great nonetheless; ArtisArt, which I fell in love with right away, but won’t tell you too much about until the October issue of Homes and Estates; and good ole Craigslist. I also found some great websites, Decor8 and PurlSoho. And I maybe got a subscription to Domino.
But that’s not enough, I still have at least one bare wall. Do any of you know of some other great resources or some hole-in-the-wall stores I need to check out?
Are any of our readers boycotting Oprah because she won’t interview Gov. Palin? Or were you watching her anyway?
