Drunk? Need Someone to Drive Carpool?
Today’s Daily Candy offers a very Parkie solution for the drunk capool driving ladies I mentioned in my column today.
The local driving service will bend over backward to get your drunk ass home safe.
And if you’re too hungover to run errands the next day, they’ll drop the kids at school and fetch your dry cleaning.

I could not believe me eyes when I read about drunk moms in carpool. WTF? As a mom who does drink like a normal social person when out and about with friends - I would NEVER EVER get in a car drunk. I take a CAB or have a designated driver. You know why? I don’t want to kill anyone. I learned my lesson in college when I wrecked a completely good vehicle and walked away lucky.
I would hope that the rich moms of the park cities are also educated and they certainly can afford a cab. Seems a small price to pay doesn’t it?

Well done! 1. People will drink 2. People will drive 3. Are you always going to make the right judgment about when enough is too much after you have had any amount? 3. If you get around safely, who cares how you get around? 4. If you say you have never gotten behind the wheel after a few drinks you are a liar! 5. Park cities or not, bravo for doing something smart and being a responsible drinker/driver! Honesty Rocks!
With the exception of the service running errands for clients, I don’t see how it differentiates itself from a taxi or limo.
A limo is more expensive, but a taxi is much cheaper. At a minimum of 3 hours at $96 plus a 20% tip, the total comes to $115 for someone to drive your car around. Give me a taxi for a fraction of the cost.
