So here’s the deal, I can’t take Sarah Palin seriously because she looks too much like Elaine from Seinfeld. Last night I kept waiting for her to break into that thumb dance right there at the convention podium.

I have so many other reasons why I can’t take her seriously. But then, I didn’t take Dan Quayle seriously either, and he became Vice President.
You’re right, Merritt, at least we know who will get the title role in the Lifetime Channel’s production of: “Sarah Palin, Fairy Princess From a Snowy Land.”
What about Tina Fey? That’s who I think of when I see her. Tina Fey is funnier than Elaine.
I can’t take her seriously because she wants to censor books in the library and prohibit victims of rape and incest from receiving abortions. But that Elaine thing is annoying too.
Peggy Hill comes to my mind.
Hey lefties, especially you, Chuck, ease upon Palin. Would you take her more seriously if she looked like Janet Reno or Madeline Albright?
Nope. I don’t take her seriously because she’s not qualified, and that’s not her fault, it’s McCain’s fault for picking her.
But that doesn’t mean she may not be elected.
I also thought she looked like Tina Fey. But her youngest daughter is such a cutie!
I don’t even consider myself a “leftie,” but she is so far to the right that I guess most normal people can only be “lefties”
I’m not so big on her choice of names for kids either:
Willow, Piper, Bristol, Track and Trig.
Sounds a bit soap opera-ish.
Last week when she was announced as McCain’s running mate, my wife immediately said she looked like Tina Fey. I can see a hint of Julia Louis-Dreyfus, but she’s and Fey look very similar.

The kid names don’t bother me. I think I read somewhere that each of them is tied into an Alaskan theme: “Willow” is for “Willow Bay,” etc.
Eric’s right. I didn’t get my “talking points” this morning. That’s what I get for thinking for myself. It’s a habit I must break.
She is ‘Karen’ from ‘Will and Grace’ all the way..but Karen is nicer! LOL!
She reminds me of the generic librarian on one of the SkinMax late night shows - at least, that’s what I’ve heard….

I would say Tina Fey too. Also,I know I hate talking about this because I do believe the kids should be left out of the debates but I would have to agree that the names are out there. But, I’m a sucker for unusual names. They’re orignal.

Tina Fey nailed that impersonation on SNL this past weekend. Obviously, she got the look down. But, here voice impersonation was spot on. Very funny.
