Metro Diner Has Cheap Food Today
As noted in our article about the closing of Metro Diner in Preston Center, the restaurant is rolling back its prices to 1963 levels today and tomorrow. It officially closes on Friday.
Someone gave me a sheet with the prices, but I seem to have misplaced it. All I remember is hamburgers going for like 50 cents.

I took the kids there for breakfast this morning. 20 minute wait and I had to put up with DMN photographers, a cameraman and a news reporter babe from channel 33. But it was still great food and great service from beginning to end. The metro diner was a morning treat for us during the school year. It is sad to see it go.
My daughter went with some friends on Monday morning and had her first and last breakfast at Metro Diner. Unfortunately, hidden in her pancakes was a long black hair. My daughter and her friends have blonde hair. Ewww!
