The reply to all type e-mails that are flying back and forth between several Parkie friends this evening about where to go for a girls night out (GNO) raises this point:
When you say you don’t want to have to get all fancy, what does that mean?
To me, it means I don’t want to take another shower. The one from this morning will have to do so choose the venue accordingly. Am I right?

The big orange dial really moves so you can practice. This is good stuff.
Question unrelated to the headline above or the HPISD release below: Does any Dazed and Confused-style hazing go on at Highland Park High School? Roving gangs of seniors with paddles striking at graduating eighth-graders?
From the district today:
HPHS plans fish camp to smooth transition for new freshmen
The first day of high school can be nerve-wracking for a new freshman.
Imagine walking up the steps for the first time, not knowing where your locker is, where to eat lunch or how to sign up for a school club.

Here’s what I’ve got today:
Ex-Scot Clayton Kershaw will try to improve to 3-3 on the season for the Los Angeles Dodgers as they host the Philadelphia Phillies at 9:10 p.m.
The 20-year-old left-hander is coming off an impressive outing in which he picked up his second win. In that game, Kershaw went seven innings and gave up just one run against St. Louis. He has a 3.37 ERA.
Kershaw faces Cole Hamels (9-8. 3.35 ERA).
