I’ve enjoyed hearing from brides, whether former, current, or future. I got this one in an e-mail and thought it was good enough to be shared. The bride said I could post it, so here it is:
I’m happily married for seven years now. Married on July 4th….
I got married quickly - dated my husband a week, got engaged and married in three months. I too worked an averaged 12 hour day - so planning a wedding and all that goes with that was unforgettable. I’m smiling as I remember.
One thing I never planned was the important detail of my wedding dress. I had only time for one fitting - did not think of anything else but did the dress fit properly. It was beautiful. So fast forward to wedding day - I’m standing in front of the wall of mirrors getting dressed into my gown with the morning sun coming through the windows when I noticed, in horror, that you could see my thong through the dress. Aaaaaaah. Well, . . . I married pantiless.
During the whole ceremony, all I could think about was “Can everyone see I’m not wearing panties?”
Sounds like something out of a girlie mag.
I am a college sophomore at a large Midwestern university and I never thought I would be writing a letter like this……..
Old man…that’s what I was talking about!!
