Who Needs Photos?

So it’s really close to the day of my wedding, and I’m frantically finishing all those billion last-minute details (that’s why I’ve been a little nonexistent today). Anyhoo, last night, I got a call telling me my photographer no longer works for the studio we booked her through. I’m currently searching for a new one. Did I mention my wedding is literally right around the corner?

The point of this post (beside allowing me to tell my sob story) is: Have any of you had any wedding planning horror stories? Let me hear them. But. Please. Do not tell me wedding-day horror stories. I don’t want to dream about that.

On short notice, finding a professional wedding photographer might be hard - and espensive.

But - since it is summer - you might try seeing if there are any local newspaper photogs or college photography students interested in earning some extra cash.

Merritt always has her camera at the ready . . .

I had a destination wedding last June at a large historic bed and breakfast. The place where the wedding was held had certain vendors that they either required you to use or suggested that you use. My fiance and i were getting ready to take a small trip to meet with some of the vendors when we found out the photographer had fallen off of his balcony a few weeks earlier and died. We ended up having to find another photographer (but luckily it wasn’t too last minute…still, most were booked already) and our wedding planner knew nothing about him. But he worked out fine.

My mother started WWIII between my sister and I after I asked someone else, my aunt(whom I am very close to) to be my maid of honor. My mother guilted my aunt into backing out as my maid of honor and threatened not to come to the wedding if I didn’t put my sister in the party.

I was the ultimate bride-zilla. I may or may not have demoted the best man. I may or may not have sent out Wedding Newsletters to my wedding party three months before the wedding and every month after.

I am pretty sure everyone has forgiven me at this point-either because a)they have all gotten married since b)it has been almost 9 years or c)they are too afraid of me not to forgive me
