Cooper Named MLS All-Star

FC Dallas forward and Jesuit grad Kenny Cooper was named to Major League Soccer’s First XI members of the All-Star Team. This will be Cooper’s first trip to the All-Star Game in his three seasons.

Cooper has eight goals and an assist this season, good for fourth in scoring in the league.

The All-Star Game will feature the MLS against West Ham United July 24 in Toronto.

MillerCoors May Be On The Move

DCEO’s Dave Moore says the newly-formed company created out of the merger of beer companies Miller and Coors is on its way to North Texas.

Jonas Brothers Concert: Joe Makes Emotional Connection with Dallas Tweens

Last night I was lucky enough to spend the hours of 7-10:30 at the Jonas Brothers concert. Next week’s column will provide more analysis of the dramatic scene but today just let me tell you it was like a trip to Limited Too on steroids or taking a bath in Velveeta.

A highlight was the emotional introduction to each song. One of the brothers gave this little speech before his love ballad: About 6 months ago I was having a bad day, it wasn’t going my way. So I wrote this song for every broken heart…

But the best part of the night was when Joe Jonas made his appearance on stage. Jump for the moment caught on film.
