Today at Zoe’s in Snider Plaza I saw a super stylish mom in a swimsuit with an expensive coordinating cover up and adorable Tory Burch flip flops. She ran into a pal and this conversation unfolded:
Swimsuit Mom: OMG! How are you?
Pal: OMG, you are going to be the cutest one at the pool. Just look at that cover up, too cute.
Swimsuit Mom: Oh, we’re not going to the pool today. But thank you, it’s really comfortable.
Wtf?
Maybe her tennis skirt was in the wash.
Wow. I should hang out in Snider Plaza more often. Do you think it is a marketing scheme concocted by the Merchant’s Association to heighten awareness for spending as this economy spirals downward?
How about a photo with that post, Merritt?
Glad you thought I looked “super stylish”! Is that better than “too cute”?
Ann, I completely support your right to wear a swimsuit whereever you wish. I’m just that kind of an American.
Please, I am wearing my Brazilian suit and Lucite heels to morning drop off this fall. I am even thinking of getting some press on eye shadow in zebra stripes but I don’t want to like too “trendeigh” on the first day.
