Masked Invaders Raid my Home!

I have been so looking forward to an opportunity to use the “Animals/Husbandry” tag recently supplied by Jason. Now, here’s my chance.

We have suffered nocturnal home invasions recently from what I supposed were raccoons coming through our cat door. Despite repeated inquiries, our cat denied seeing anything, and I suspect that it may be an inside job with her as a co-conspirator.

Night before last, my wife caught the critters on camera. Check out the guilty look on its face.

Defensive steps have been taken.

What are your defensive steps? I have a doggy door about the same size as your cat door. But with 2 frenchies that run after anything that moves, no critter has dared drop in voluntarily. My problem is the dead and undead brought in as little prize packages for Mommy.

A parkie-raccoon? Where’s its little tennis outfit and oversized handbag? We’ve got opossums - complete with six babies hanging on her, in my neck of the woods in UP.

we’ve had 2 raccoons & the momma opossum on our side porch. we live close to the Y so we think they’re coming by after they workout.
