I want my nanny to be as comfortable as possible but she doesn’t make enough to live in the Park Cities. So does this sound as odd to you as it did to me?
My nanny lives on Westminster.
And yes, this person meant a full time nanny living in the 75205 zip code. House not apartment.
I want to be a nanny.
I can’t afford a nanny.
Why do you always talk about your nanny? Why do you need a nanny? What does she do? What are you doing while she is at your home? What is the difference between a nanny and a babysitter?
They buy a small house in the Park Cities as an investment and house their nanny’s there. They’re expanding their real estate portfolio while making sure their nanny will never have an excuse not to show up for work because her car broke down.
From the outrageous amount of money we have to pay for a baby sitter around here to enjoy sitting in our beautiful homes and watching flat-panel wide screen televisions, why couldn’t a nanny afford to live on Westminster? We’re crazy enough to spend $10+ / hour for a teenager, I’m certain someone is crazy wealthy enough to fund a nanny. Though, that brings up a whole other question, “DEFINE NANNY.”
I like to call our nanny the housekeeper. When we moved in and I had to call and set up the utilities, one of the customer service people asked if my wife or our butler would be home to let them in…I always wanted a butler.
Merritt, I think Mary is a hater.
Mary,
While my nanny is at my home, I am at work. I guess I could call her a babysitter but most babysitters don’t do M-F 8-5.
