Looks like our concerns about the health and well-being of the good people of NBC5 should extend all the way to the anchor chair. Mike Snyder felt free to take aim and fire at Highland Park on his blog.
I’ll let Cassie point out his many, many errors.
Someone please tell the people at NBC 5 that there’s a new mayor in town. His name is Bill Seay. Former mayor Bill White is no longer in office.
Also, Snyder sure talks like he was at the meeting last night. I didn’t see him there, but even if he was there, I’m not sure how he came to this conclusion:
“Most on the HP council last night agreed putting a toll on Mockingbird Lane where it crosses their fair city would not be a good idea. All but the Mayor William White, who seemed to revel in the notion that complainers from all across north Texas accused him of a “moat mentality;” arrogant at best, snobby at worst. ”The council members did NOT comment on the issue, save for a few quips after the meeting was over about how it was a “non-issue.”
Mayor SEAY was in no way “reveling” in the notion that Highland Park was snobby. Seay said little on the issue other than he felt people in HP were getting heat they didn’t deserve.
Sure his “reporting” is wrong and misleading but who cares? We all know that Mike Snyder is a deranged sputtering lunatic. Maybe he actually believes he attended the meeting. Or maybe the Voices came back.
Don’t email him with corrections. If we engage him in his imaginary world instead of forcing him to engage the rest of us in the real world, the poor man will never get better.
Heh….the blog is no longer there.
I wonder who got to him?
UPDATE: As of 3:54 PM, the offending blog entry appears to have been deleted.

And now it’s back…and people are starting to pound on him.
Interesting how some people will stoop to name calling instead of civil discourse when they disagree. I will not dignify the comments of mean spirited people above with a direct response, their statements speak for themselves. I am disappointed at times when I discover I am human and quite capable of making mistakes. The difference between me and the name callers above is I admit my mistakes, correct the errors and move on. I did misidentify Mayor Seay, sworn in just last month, for that I am sorry. I have for so long associated HP with Mayor White. Error acknowledged and corrected. Read my blog, http://snurl.com/2ez5y. I was not at last night’s meeting, but our reporter and camera were, and in an interview on video tape aired on NBC-5, Mayor Seay said clearly, the toll idea on Mockingbird, while not likely any time soon, “is still on the table.” You can parse his words anyway you like, but that is what he said on video tape. Are we not to believe your mayor, or was he just joking?
Easy fix to alieve conjestion thru HP. Close down the Dallas Toll Road and build bridges across all of the East-West streets between University and Lemmon just like when there was a railroad track where the toll road is now. That wouldn’t take very long!!! I guess since HP is an incorporated town we can do what we want. The main concern should be changing the City Emblem and colors….I vote NO!!!
Mike, you are so pathetic.
