I don’t know if Merritt had a hand in this, but the Lovely Lake Highlands/Lakewood reporter Sarah Scott and I just returned from lunch at the new Chick-fil-A, and they now have pellet ice.
Look at that lovely hand model, isn’t he the best?

FWIW - Chick-fil-a has 2 buttons on their ice dispenser. ‘Regular’ and ‘lite’. If you don’t want cup full of ice with very little Coke, ask for a Coke with lite ice.

I heart pellet ice. Anne, do they make the machines for homes? I’d purchase a supplemental ice maker just to have the pellet ice.

But one of the best things about this location, you can fill your own drink. Therefore, you can control the ice totally! Except for the Lemonades, they keep those behind the counter.

The other best thing about this location is the lack of those little ketchup packets. They have upgraded to pump dispensers on Hillcrest!!
