I received the following e-mail today concerning last week’s column. I guess he didn’t see this. So anyway, Stephanie, this is really mainly for you.
I love to see people be excited about their community, but I am sad to see people who think they are above everyone else. In your title it states that you have perfect children. There are no perfect children because if there were they would have nothing to learn and life, no matter where you live, requires learning. As for school ranking, Frisco TX, was the highest ranking school district in TX (according to the 2007 independent resource). A big beautiful house doesn’t make a home. A home is made by loving parents who teach their kids about God and how to treat others. That home can be anywhere in the world. I am not trying to come down on you on your enthusiasm about your community because I think your heart might be in the right place, I am just saying there is no perfect place, no perfect children and no perfect person.
Can I hate Frisco because even if you’re in say, north Plano, it seems like the drive to Frisco is a bajillion miles?
Yawnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!
There are just some folks who will never understand MP. And thanks to them, she has an endless supply of material with which to entertain the rest of us.
Jen, I love you.
Did he not understand the column was tongue-in-cheek?
The perfect is the enemy of the good.
