So I tried out the brand new dry cleaner in University Park. On Saturday when I picked up I used my debit card for $6.21. Last night I logged on to do some banking and noticed that the following charges were posted from the same dry cleaner:
I called the store and the girl working there didn’t know anything about it and couldn’t credit my account. I asked who the owner was and she said she didn’t know his name but thought it was “something like maybe Lee.” She gave me Lee’s cell phone number but I still haven’t heard back from him. I called Bank of America to tell them I didn’t make the charges but they can’t do anything while the charges are still pending my account.
Lee, if you’re by chance an Overheardian, call me.
try the up police dept.
It sounds like he’s trying to take you to the cleaners.
I had to reply to Bethany….I applaud your wit. I laughed out loud with no filter stopping me, so thank you for that! Merritt I’m guessing there is a new person running credit cards so you paid for a lot of UP dry cleaning. I hope you find “Lee”.
Sorry it took me so long to reply back, JB. I was dropping off my dry cleaning while it’s still on Merritt.
But thanks, I try.
next time go to D.D French
Merritt, were you able to get this resolved?
Sandy, I am currently holding on the line for a Bank of America customer service rep. My wait time could be as long as 9 minutes. I’ll keep you posted.
Why didn’t you use your AmEx? They’re the best at dealing with this type of inconvenience. Unless, of course, the merchant didn’t take American Express…and in that case, why are you going there?
Bank of America Customer Service is about as good as “Lee’s” billing system…
