Humble Parkie Mom is a Billionaire’s Girlfriend and Reality T.V. Star Hopeful

Weekend buzz about an over-the-top e-mail announcement sent out by University Park resident and reality television star hopeful Erika Nazem has been widespread. Practically billions (kind of her lucky number range) of people have forwarded it to me:

I am writing everyone in my address book to let you all know that we may have a new reality show in Dallas! I have been pursuing a reality show for about 6 months now, and have been able to get connected with a major award winning production company with 11 current successful reality shows! They are highly interested in featuring my life as a single mother, business owner of a women’s only gym, and my intense insane love affair with my extremely high profile billionaire boyfriend! Sorry, he won’t be on the show, or will he? You’ll have to wait and see! Oh yeah, and my crazy nightlife in the social scene of the Big D will be featured too!

This is an amazing opportunity for [the gym], my staff, my friends, and the city of Dallas! Currently there are no shows being filmed here, so there is a high interest in an average “non-celebrity” person that has climbed their way to the top while still trying to stay real! That’s me! I love what I do, love my staff, love my family, my friends, and as crazy as it may seem? I love my man! But sometimes, the drama is enough to make me wonder if it is worth it!

So, we will begin filming the “sizzle” reel this week, to shop the networks. We already have 4 interested without one!

I can hardly wait to program my TIVO.

This 2007 D Magazine story, The Billionaire Next Door, points out the obvious about the lady Parkies are discussing.

Erika Nazem who owns a fitness club in Plano sent to D’s Events staff an e-mail requesting coverage of her 38th birthday party at Ghostbar. By way of establishing her coverageworthiness, Nazem said many VIPs would attend, including her “life partner,” a man named Georg Schaeffler who was on the Forbes list and in the midst of a “very nasty divorce.” “Complicated” probably understates it.

For the record, Schaeffler and Nazem ended their relationship in late January. Again, he won’t discuss it.

Why does the phrase “a-dime-a-dozen” keep popping into my head?

Someone’s trying too hard. Bless her heart.

  • Miles Morrison

I recommend she change her first name to “Sparkles” because she is so real and laid back.

    This is just “egotastic”!

I can see it on Spike TV - “Bubble Bee Itches”

Original? It sounds like a mash-up of Work Out, Real Housewives and The Hills.

  • K

    Sounds craptastic!

  • JS

Sounds like someone is really trying to get the word out that she wants to become famous for no apparent reason. What’s worse is that it appears that she’s not even dating her billionaire boyfriend anymore.

  • Disgusted

What a vapid, worthless person. I am so sick of our pop culture society, the people that both feed it and eat it up.

  • Amused

    Attention whore.

Humble? Is she really? How humble is that when she tried to impress a poor drive through attendant with $100 bill, then trashed his tray with disgusting stuff while he was helping someone else?
