I just returned from a meeting out of the office to find this message in my inbox:
When you walk out your front door on Sunday morning on Crescent Avenue, you do not expect to see a chicken. That was the case on Sunday, April 20. When the police station was contacted to see if someone had reported losing a chicken. The dispatcher laughed and said they had been trying to catch the chicken for three days to no avail. Chickens are not very easily caught, only returning to their roost at night. Springtime will be on this hen’s side for survival, with all the bugs and water available. She was last seen clucking her way down the side walk, watching carefully for the early morning dog walkers.
What? Not crossing the road?
Little known fact about me: I used to work at a mobile petting zoo. The easiest way to catch a chicken: Use a fishing net and just scoop it up. You’re welcome.
