Barton Leads Lady Scots to District 10-4A Title

The Highland Park Lady Scots golf team finished in the top two spots at the District 10-4A golf tournament on Tuesday at the 5,472-yard, Par 72 Waterview Golf Club in Rowlett.

The No. 1 Lady Scots team shot a 660 (328-332) to finish well ahead of the No. 2 HP team, which finished with a 754 (387-367). Both teams will be representing the district at the Class 4A Region II Tournament April 21-22 at Denton’s Robson Ranch.

Lila Barton won her fourth consecutive district championship by finishing with a two-day total of 152. She was one of eight Lady Scots to finish in the top 10.
