Highland Park’s boys basketball team earned its second consecutive trip to the Class 4A Region I semifinals on Tuesday night by hammering Mount Pleasant, 61-38, in Royse City.
The victory was the 13th straight for the Scots (30-4). HP will face Dallas Lincoln, which rallied from 17 points down to stun Kimball, 58-54, for its 13th consecutive victory. The Tigers (22-8) and Scots will meet at 7:30 p.m. Friday at the Garland Special Events Center.
The first regional semifinal will feature Whitehouse (29-1) against South Oak Cliff (21-8) at 6 p.m. The semifinal winners will meet at 3 p.m. Saturday with a trip to Austin on the line.Â
