Check the jump for an account from the 11-year-old boy who has attended some of the rallies. It’s important to note that his mom has not told him whom she’s voting for.
Yesterday, I got to shake hands with former president,
Bill Clinton.
When he shook my hand, I felt so lucky to be there.
During his speech, he talked about his wife, Hillary
Rodham Clinton.
One thing he said, really made me confident about him.
He said that the American soldiers in Iraq, needed to
come home.He is not the only one saying this. Last Wednesday, I
got to see Barack Obama.
He said the same thing; The American soldiers should
come home.
I trusted Bill, more because he’s been president
before. Hearing a candidate say it, is not the same.Obama would be a great president. He is enthusiastic,
trustworthy, determined, and loyal. However, I think
Hillary should be president. Mainly because, she had a
husband, that was a president. I should think that she
would have enough experience from that, to become the
44th president of the United States. I think it is
time for a woman to become president.I am very lucky to be experiencing all of this, and
this is history as well.
Possibly, one day my child/children will read about
this. And I will tell them: I was there.I hope that people will take the time to go see/meet
these candidates while they still have the chance. This is a very exciting time, we live in. (If I say
that this is an exciting time more than once, than you
will know how exciting this is).
