It’s [Almost] Camp Time

And I need your help. I asked Merritt for her two cents on camps, and she sent me lots of great stuff. Then she included this little piece:

The craziest part is all of the moms on the phone and e-mail the days before sign up planning their summer by what their friends kids are doing. You know, we decide which week and session they can be together, not only for the kids but for the moms. Summer is long and you have to be able to go to lunch and shop. If your kids aren’t in camp the same time as your BFF, you’re [sol].

And that got me thinking, how do you moms figure out your schedules? And how far in advance do you start planning? What’s the best method for communicating, do you send mass e-mails, get together, what? Let me know your thoughts and maybe I can share some of your advice with the rest of our readers.
