Nancy has things jumpin on the same topic, see the SideDish blog and check out some of the heated comments like this one.
i’m sorry, but making anti-semitic remarks and talking on a cell phone in a public place are WAY WAY different.
These two Parkie husbands are loved by women everywhere. I think they look confused because they’re wondering how they got roped into bar tending last Friday night for Susan McCollum’s “Tinis and Tiaras” party. I mean, David McCollum lives there but he took it as an opportunity to “speak at a conference.” Whatever, Dr. McCollum! More to come…
The chocolate rage e-mail is blowin’ up the Interweb, y’all. At last count, there were 45 comments about the run-in at the chocolate store in University Park. Check them out.
Thanks for the clarification, Jason. Merritt’s ghetto “wassup” had me totally entirely confused. Entry two on Urban Dictionary clearly explains what Merritt meant. I am glad we have such a useful tool at our disposal. We can add “wassup” to the list of words Jason dislikes.
While on Urban Dictionary searching, I found another new word I think Parkie moms will like — Choreplay: When a woman is turned on by the sight of her husband/boyfriend/partner doing regular household chores that she would normally be doing.
Following on the much-discussed message from Monday, staff writer Cassie Clark got some more info from UPPD:
Talked with capt. holman- he said no charges have been filed and the case is suspended. When the police arrived, they found no damage to anything, so it was filed as “disorderly conduct.” He hasn’t had any other calls on that store owner.
The print version of Overheard carried a story and an editorial about the redo of the fountain, which has been backing up traffic on Oak Lawn Avenue right outside our office for the past few weeks.

There is construction all around it.I was hoping to find some information on the Park Cities People Blog.
I received the following e-mail in response to the January 18 Bulletin from the Bubble. Kudos to Kid Biz, they’re really good sports!

Needing something crunchy and delicious, yet somewhat healthy, Stephanie and I ventured to Whole Foods. Stephanie normally would have reached for the green bean chips, but they were out. But our eyes were immediately drawn to the bright orange display of carrot chips.
Stephanie, always the adventurous one, immediately reached for a chip and tried it. She said it was good. I’m a little less-than-courageous when it comes to trying new food, but I trust Stephanie.
So I reached for a bright chip and (more…)
Everyone has been talking about the beautiful home at Preston and Beverly that was for sale by owner, but as of today, the property is listed with Keller Williams. (I guess even a property that visible was difficult to sell without a Realtor?) So here are the details: 4201 Beverly, asking price $2.495 million, on .4314 of an acre. The listing agents are Mary Jane Young, Cathy Baldwin, and Mary Ann Evetts of the Mary Jane Young Team at Keller Williams. Cathy said it should be on MLS today and will be on the Keller Williams site shortly.
I know it’s true because I read it on the D Home blog.
