Taking the Hyer Road

There was no UP police presence around Hyer this morning.  I could have talked wildly on my cell phone, waving it around and even making a conference call.  Being a solid citizen, however, I declined the opportunity, and I didn’t see any other telecommunications scofflaws, either, so maybe the crackdown is working.

you don’t think the cellphone patrol was working the various area chocolate stores instead, do you?

That could well be. There is only so much manpower to go around. If necessary, I could be a “citizen cell phone watcher” when the police are busy.

Thanks Charles. There was one sitting promeniently in the vacant lot at Colgate and Preston this AM (1-30). He probably read your blog.
