I just had a chit-chat in the very organized cubicle of People Newspaper’s stud reporter, Austin Kilgore. It seems that to celebrate his three year anniversary with his beautiful and very smart girlfriend he gifted her a blow up Nascar yard decoration.

I don’t know about that, but Jason’s gonna go apoplectic when he sees the word gifted.
Bethany, as a writer you should know that there are certain ideas that cannot be fully visualized without that perfect word. “Gifted” captures the essence of the transaction. It was a last minute, check the box kind of gift. To say he gave her a present was totally inaccurate, he simply “gifted” her. It was a freaking Nascar blow-up, creative wording was necessary.
