All-District Football Team is All-HP

Highland Park had 18 of its 24 starting players make the All-District 10-4A team.  The Scots are still smarting after last weekend’s loss in the Class 4A Division II state championship game, but the recognition from the district’s coaches might heal a few wounds.

Among the superlatives, HP senior quarterback Winston Gamso was voted Co-MVP along with Jordan Gush of Richardson Pearce. Senior linebacker Brett Martin was the Defensive MVP, and senior kicker Chris Morris was Special Teams MVP. HP head coach Randy Allen was Co-Coach of the Year along with Pearce’s Randy Robertson.

You’re a good catch. You know, a young SMU frat boy turned reporter (and accomplished dancer if you want to consider the whole package). Haley is a super good catch being a beautiful engineer and all. You should thank your lucky stars that she hung around after the Nascar incident and marry her. I’m just sayin’.

Austin, in his own defense:

In my defense, it was a Christmas-themed NASCAR blow up, very cute with snowmen pit crew members, AND I got it 55 percent off because it was the last one they had and it was Christmas Eve when I did my shopping.

My wonderful girlfriend Haley also got a bottle of perfume for Christmas, not to mention diamond earrings for the anniversary back in Oct.

And Merritt, when you talk about me on the blog, I prefer to be called “Ace Preston Hollow Reporter Austin Kilgore.” We need that consistency on the blog to make it easier for all my adoring fans to stay in the know on all things Kilgore.

Actually, the blow-up yard decoration was for Christmas. And I repeat what she said when she opened the gift, “I can’t believe you got me this.”
