Ok I’ll bite…Please share the letter or email you got from the “foul, bordering-on-restraing-order-type-out-of-line-reader” Can you redact (redact is my new word) the offending language? Inquiring minds want to know. C’mon Merritt, we need the dirt!
If I redacted the offending language it would simply read, “and the.” But I’ll give you hint…the word that starts with “p” and is in the Kurt Anderson quote but I was decent enough to ****. Well, that word appeared a lot.

Makes me wonder which one of your columns put the “p****” person over the edge. Maybe you struck a nerve with your grundgebund column and brought out a real “p****”.
OK, it’s on the last line of the Kurt Anderson article I linked earlier but it can be used in a tacky way to refer to a female body part. And, of course, still starts with “p.”

I think you’ve got the wrong word.
I guess I need more than one letter to solve this anagram.
