It looks like the conversation is still heated on Merritt’s Baptist v. Secular post.
The joys of writing for a community come with a few headaches, like working on a story only to see something similar appear in another publication before yours comes out. It’s a pain. Anyway, the business section of the DMN website posted a story this afternoon about spec homes, and you can expect one from me on the 16th (we go to press with real estate a full week before you see it). My story is all about high-end spec homes popping up in your neighborhood. Get excited, people.
Guess what happens when you google “Jason Heid.” You get this. It’s pretty big news, but I’ll let him tell you about it when he comes down off his cloud and gets back to work. (Just kidding, boss.)
I just received this concerning this my grudgeband column:
How refreshing to hear this from a woman! More of us should remember that our sons will someday be married and what do we want for them? A good motto: Treat your husband as you would want your daughter-in-law to treat your son.So many men don’t complain because it’s not becoming to a man to whine, and they’ve been conditioned to believe they must provide in an extraordinary way or they’re a failure. Thanks for reminding us that many times they are under appreciated and taken for granted since there has been such an emphasis on women and their needs.I like your column, don’t always agree, but it’s interesting to see what subject you’ve picked.
Here it is, as simply as I can put it (I think):
HP will play in the Class 4A Division II bracket.
If HP wins tonight over West Mesquite, it will be the top seed from District 10-4A. If West Mesquite wins, HP drops to the second seed from 10-4A.
As to HP’s possible opponents in the bi-district round - read on carefully, please. (more…)
I see on the roster that Bob Lilly and Reid Slaughter will also speak at Career Day today. How am I supposed to compete with that?
