I know of a family that was approached by the neighborhood Pre-K association reps when their child was a little younger than that (5 months old, I think). The family was freaked out, especially when the Pre-K lady told them they needed to start shaping the child so s/he could get into the “right” Pre-K. That’s a lot of pressure.
